![]() ![]() I play 3 mmorpgs online and the only problem I have is this one in EQ2. They even gave me access to the area to view all my settings, etc, and after describing the problem in great detail at length, they think it is a software issue originationg at Sony side. Your "fix" does not work/apply in my case as my ISP (Brighthouse cable internet wireless network) assures me that there is no such thing as IP Flood detection on my router. I can play just fine and without any issues a newly created Fae in the new expansion (although since yesterday it crashes when I zone). My problem is the same as the first poster described, BUT.only with my "old" original EQ2 characters the ones I haven't played in a year. p.I hadn't played EQ2 in about a year and came back to check out the expansion. ![]() I have the same problem, basically, yet a tad different. Sorry for the bad grammer, i'm kind of in a hurry If it does work then please sticky this message as i wish someone couldve told me this a lot sooner >_>. Note ive played EQ2 for a long time and this is the first time ive had a D/C prob due to my router, so im only guessing that the new expansion most have added some extra stress to the modem.Īnyway please give it a try and see if disabling these features ( or just the built in firewall) fixes your eq2 problem. I've done a couple of log in and out tests and so far it seems to work! I suggest that you all make sure that you have these two options disabled on your router if your experiencing this UI loading problem. Needless to say, these changes had immediate effects on my EQ2 client and immediatly logged me into the game. While i was zoning ( and experiencing the long UI load which i knew was going to get me d/c again) i turned off these two features from my firewall and saved. Apparently my router had IP Flood Detection and Firewall Protection enabled. Didnt find much to begin with till i stumbled accross the firewall settings. Quickly after reading this i went into my routers configuration through internet explorer to see if anything was up ( ). So ive been reading all day on people with the same issue, the only solution i found was from this one person who said she got it working AFTER buying a new modem/router. Sometimes i did get connected to the game but only to get disconnected later mostly by changing instances.īut now it seems i have solved it! For me anyway. Recently, around the time the EOF launched, i started getting disconnected from the server i play on and get stuck at "Loading Ui Resources" whenever i zoned or logged in. ![]()
